I wanted my own small pa system for small club and acoustic gigs. I also wanted full-range speakers as an alternative outlet for my Axe-Fx and Kemper Profiler. And I wanted some monitors for my Mac for home recording into GarageBand.
Then Line 6 conveniently launched their series of modular linkable, multipurpose speakers. Two of these, their smaller L2t units, give me a small stereo pa with 1600ww power & four input channels. They also work well enough as studio monitors and as powered speakers for my digital preamps to support an amp in a wet/dry/wet setup.
Not the cheapest powered speakers I could have bought, but excellent value given all the different applications they cover off for me, and good sounding too.
