Based on one of uber-designer/builder Cliff Brown’s early designs, the Safire, but called a Custom because I had a pretty heavy hand in co-designing/specifying. And insisting on the modest covering. One of the best all-round amps I’ve ever played and supernatural with Strats (and my notoriously ‘difficult’ Gretsch Duo-Jet too).
Gawd, these speakers are self-reproducing too. Only joking, the bottom cab is made from the remnants left over from the making of the top one and houses a Celestion G12/65, an excellent complement to the main cab’s eminence Red Guv’nor and a great cab in its own right too. And you can never have enough snakeskin, eh?
